CLASS OF 2023
Shrusti Amula
Shrusti Amula, a current High School senior, is the founder and CEO of Rise N Shine Foundation, a youth-led non-profit aimed at reducing food waste through composting and food recovery programs. As of 2023, Rise N Shine Foundation has reportedly recovered 300,000 pounds of food. Amula's school food recovery program currently operates in 45 schools and is expected to operate in all 209 district schools in Maryland’s Montgomery County within the year.

Maria Rose Belding
Maria Rose Belding is co-founder and current Chair of the Board of Foodrecovery.org (formerly known as MEANS - Matching Express and Need for Sustainability) Database, that focuses on sustainability by diverting edible food away from landfills and to communities in need. A frequent advocate who sheds light on food insecurity, Maria Rose has spoken on the issue across 29 of 50 states. Completing their 8th year of operation at the end of 2023, Foodrecovery.org has saved more than 52 million pounds of food.

Amanda Munz
Amanda Munz, founder of The Fashion Foundation, began a revolution in the fashion industry at age 23 when she started redirecting excess designer samples to fund essential school supplies for NY schools. With a Bachelor's Degree from the FIT and a Masters of Public Administration from Baruch College, Amanda's initiative has re-used over 200,000 pounds of designer merchandise, benefiting 40,000 local school children. The organization's impact also supports initiatives like building an elementary school library and an Arts & Theatre program.

Women Making a Difference
Women of Worth was born out of the iconic L'Oréal Paris tagline, "Because You're Worth It," honoring the intrinsic worth of everyday women inspiring others and creating positive change in their communities.
How it Works
Recognize 10 Women
Each year, ten individuals will be named Women of Worth honorees, each receiving $25,000 to support their charitable cause, mentorship from the L’Oréal Paris network and a national platform to share their story. L’Oréal Paris will celebrate all ten of our 2022 Women of Worth at the end of the year. Stay tuned for more details.

Celebrating 17 Years
One of the ten Women of Worth honorees will be chosen by popular vote to be named this year’s National Honoree, receiving $25,000 toward their cause for a total grant of $45,000.
