I believe that no matter where a person is in life there is always something to give back. Whether helping a neighbor, giving a donation to a favorite charity, volunteering in one's community or church. All of us have a gift we can give to another.
My self esteem grew tremendously knowing that I actually had something to give to the community. Being always shy, I never thought my idea would just grow and others would be so interested as well. It pleases me to see others working side by side to care for those who need it. Ultamately we all are winners.
I feel that we learn about ourselves through other people. We learn who the true winners are. Those who survive, tell a story or who love passionately life and helping others. Many just work, spend money and brag. I rather be a doer than a bragger.
I feel my story gives others hope and also that dreams can come true. Even though at my age, many dreams are gone...we can always recreate new dreams. Plus, we can always give back to others...
