MEAGAN 'S DIARY

Volunteerism is much more than just "helping others." While this is a key component, I truly believe that the value of volunteer service lies in its ability to empower and enrich the lives of both the volunteer and those that benefit from the services provided selflessly. Through serving my community with simply an intent to help others, I grew as a person, and as a leader; finding the strength to respond to a need in my community no one else was addressing. I believe the power to change our world lies within every person, no matter how young or how old and the power of collaboration between youth and adults is the most powerful way to accomplish great successes in your community and beyond.
